Which is better: Carbon steel or Stainless steel?
This will typically depend on the application, as different steels are more suitable for different uses. Today, stainless steels are usually going to be better choices for pocket knives, whereas high carbon steel is still a top choice for swords and camp machetes.
I bought a knife that claims to be “dishwasher safe” on the packaging. Is this actually the case?
Knife manufacturers may advertise their product to be dishwasher safe, but the majority of those same companies also recommend handwashing, as a preferable alternative. Dishwashers may cause damage to kitchen knives in a variety of ways, including damage through heat cycles and aggressive detergents.
Do you offer a knife restoration service?
While we do offer professional sharpening and repair services, including blade and tip chips, we do not have the facilities to offer additional knife restoration services. We do also sell various products that can assist in rust removal as well as polishing.
Are your swords real?
We carry a variety of swords that are decorative, and we do also have lots of swords that are forged and functional. Our staff will always be clear in letting you know if you're getting something that's safe to swing, or safer to just keep on the wall as a decorative piece.

We purchase knives and blade edged products from a wide variety of brand vendors that we partner with. Depending on what you're after, if we don’t have it in stock there is a good possibility that we can arrange for it to be special ordered in.
